FAQ
How does the tool decide which colors are dominant?
The image is scaled down and each pixel is bucketed by color, then the most frequent buckets become the palette. That is why the output reflects the overall feel of the image.
How many colors does it extract?
Choose 5, 8 or 12 dominant colors, enough for a complete palette without overwhelming the list.
Is my image uploaded to a server?
No. The image is processed entirely in your browser.
What image formats are supported?
Any format your browser can display, JPG, PNG, WebP, GIF and more.
