FAQ

Are my images uploaded to a server?
No. Compression happens locally on your device using the browser’s built-in canvas. Nothing is uploaded.
What output format does it produce?
JPEG for photos with quality control; PNG stays lossless when compression is not needed.
How much can the file be reduced?
Depends on the original. Photos typically shrink 40 to 70%, graphics with flat colors even more. The quality slider controls the trade-off.
Does compression change the dimensions?
No. Only the file size is reduced. The width and height stay the same.
