FAQ
What is binary?
Binary is base-2 notation. Every character is represented as an 8-bit sequence of 1s and 0s. Text is converted by taking each character's Unicode value and writing it in binary.
Can I decode binary back to text?
Yes. Switch to Binary → Text mode and paste the binary string. Invalid binary input shows a clear error instead of garbage output.
Is my data uploaded to a server?
No. Conversion happens entirely in your browser.
Does it handle special characters and emoji?
It converts standard text characters. For full Unicode coverage, try the Base64 encoder, which handles any character set.
