FAQ
What is a UUID?
A UUID (Universally Unique Identifier) is a 128-bit identifier used to label records, requests, objects and entities so they can be referred to uniquely across systems.
What is the difference between v4 and v7?
v4 is purely random with 122 random bits using crypto.randomUUID. v7 starts with a millisecond timestamp plus random bits, so newer IDs sort after older ones. Use v7 when you want time ordered IDs for databases.
Can two generated UUIDs collide?
Practically never. Even v4 has 122 random bits, so the chance of a collision is negligible at any real scale.
Can I generate more than 100 at once?
No. The count is capped at 100 per batch. Click Generate again for more.
