How are words counted?
Any group of characters separated by whitespace counts as one word.
Does the character count include spaces?
The "Characters" count includes spaces and punctuation. "Characters (no spaces)" excludes whitespace.
How are reading and speaking time estimated?
They are estimated from the word count using standard average reading and speaking speeds.
Does it work with languages other than English?
Yes, any whitespace separated text is counted, regardless of language.
Is my text stored anywhere?
No. Everything runs locally in your browser. Your text never leaves your device.
