FAQ

Is my image uploaded for OCR?
No. Recognition runs in your browser via a Web Worker. The first run downloads the recognition model, so a one-time internet connection is needed.
Which languages are supported?
The tool ships with English recognition, more language models can be added later.
What languages does it support?
English and Hindi are most accurate. Other Latin-script languages work well too. Handwriting recognition varies.
Is my image uploaded anywhere?
No, OCR runs entirely in your browser using Tesseract.js. Your image never leaves your device.
